Wantjust one piece of garlic bread? Individual Garlic Cheese Breadsare quickto make and can be served with just about anything!
Posting due to popular demand! If you have seen this Roasted Tomato Basil Soup video and wondered where the recipe is for the Garlic Cheese Breadsserved at the end, well here it is! I know its taken forever. You know, life and all that.
HOMEMADE GARLIC BREAD
This is a garlic bread recipe I used to make for myself when I was home with two sleeping babies and no time to make lunch in between. No, this is NOT an ideal lunch… don’t hate me. But being a new mum, tired as hell and HUNGRY, a warm piece of soft garlic bread is all I ever wanted to soothe my soul before another round of teething babies started. Of course, putting cheese on it made these slices all the more amazing.
I must admit, I have been hesitant to post this Garlic Cheese Breads recipe since a recipe to me is something more a little more involved, but with the overwhelming response this video has received on Facebook, I realise I should have posted this, like, yesterday.
How to make Individual Garlic Cheese Breads
This is a single serve recipe, but you can make it for more than one person.
I always have a fresh loaf of bread in the freezer with pieces of baking or parchment paper placed in between each slice so I can go in and grab one. Just defrost the morning you are going to use it.
I LOVE tiger vienna or sourdough. You use use any bread you have on hand. I’ve even used sandwich bread. JUST AS GOOD.
I use unsalted butter, then proceed to add my own quantity of salt to my tastes. It’s usually just a small sprinkle. I have tried to use salted butter in the past, and it was way too salty for me. However, you may use it if you wish.
I’ve suggested ½ a clove of garlic in the recipe as it is single serve for one piece. If you LOVE garlic, however, use 1 clove instead.
I use a combo of mozzarella and FRESH parmesan. I don’t use the powdery parmesan found in those green containers. If that’s all you have, you are more than welcome to try it! I prefer fresh.
If you’re looking for a Cheesy Garlic Bread recipe to feed more than one, use this recipe!

Perfect! But I have a Electric Oven. The Broiler is either set on High or low. Which would I put it on Low?

Excellent recipe. Made it with Salted butter and for me it needed the pinch of salt (that I had omitted). May be the best garlic cheese bread I’ve had as of yet…

Refrigerate cheese bread if you need to store it for more than a few days. But be sure to bring it to room temperature before eating, as refrigeration can affect the texture. Freezing is the best long-term storage solution for cheese bread. Wrap individual pieces in plastic wrap and store them in a freezer bag.
A mild, baked cheese with an authentic Italian garlic flavor–serve with fresh marinara sauce to create an outstanding appetizer. Saute or grill, until glistening or microwave for 30 seconds on high until warm.
Likewise, finishing with fresh herbs like parsley, basil, or chives can also create some freshness. Spice-lovers might even want to consider a dash of paprika, chili, or hot sauce for a hint of heat. Another way to vamp up frozen garlic bread is to top it with cheese.
I recommend eating it within a day or two max of making it so that it doesn't dry out. For food safety reasons, it is best to refrigerate leftover cheesy garlic bread because of the dairy. Regular garlic bread is generally safe to leave out overnight, but use your own discretion.
Unfortunately, this isn't always the case, and reheating pizza left out overnight may still pose a medical risk. It's best to throw the pizza away if you realize that you have left it out overnight. However, if you have leftover slices waiting for you in the fridge or freezer, you're in luck.
Depends on how long you want to keep it. wrap it in a plastic bag for a day or two or put it in a freezer bag for up to a month. Wrap it in foil and put it in the freezer, that should preserve it for a few months, and good as new when cooked in the oven.
OVEN: Wrap leftover Garlic Bread in foil and place on a baking sheet – you can do this whether it's sliced or a whole loaf. If the bread is sliced, keep it in a single layer in the foil. Bake at 350 degrees F until warmed through, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Does cheesy garlic bread need to be refrigerated? After you make cheesy garlic bread and bake it in the oven, no it does not need to be refrigerated. Since the cheese is cooked, there is very little chance of it going bad.
Garlic bread's benefits depend on the type of bread used to make it. Wheat garlic bread is loaded with healthy fibre and nutrients that regulate blood sugar levels and boost metabolism. Most garlic bread recipes are high in fat, but a few minor adjustments can make this tasty appetizer very healthy.
The Italians do eat garlic rubbed on toasted bread – with olive oil, not butter – and call it bruschetta. But they will toast an Italian bread such as ciabatta, not a French baguette, as has become popular in the UK and America.
True to form, moderation is key. Enjoying the occasional slice of traditional indulgent garlic bread is perfectly fine — good even, for the soul. Just balance it out with more nutritious choices for the rest of your meals that day, like a fiber-full salad. Consider it a special treat, not an everyday side.
To keep garlic bread from getting too hard and stale, wrap it in foil or store it in an airtight container. You can also reheat it in the oven or toaster oven to restore its texture.
Garlic bread is the perfect sidekick for spaghetti Bolognese, penne alla vodka, or really any Italian pasta dinner; it lives to soak up any delicious pasta sauce left on your plate. Or for the easiest party app ever, serve it with homemade marinara for dipping.
The cheese is important in this recipe as well. Too much and it will be an oily mess. I wrote Mozzarella into the ingredients because it's ultimately my fav...
While it's safe to keep many baked goods at room temperature, it depends on the item and should be taken on a case-by-case basis. For instance, breads and rolls can last up to four days at room temperature, but any bread with meat or hard-boiled eggs should be refrigerated within two hours, according to the USDA.
Room-temperature cornbread: Cornbread stored at room temperature (roughly sixty to seventy-five degrees Fahrenheit) will last one to three days without signs of spoilage. Refrigerated cornbread: You can reliably keep cornbread in the refrigerator for a couple of days.
1. How long can cheese sit out before it becomes unsafe to eat? For the best taste and quality, cheese should not be left out for longer than two hours at room temperature. Hard cheeses can be left out longer without becoming unsafe, but the quality and taste may change.
Wrap the cooled loaf in plastic wrap, then a layer of aluminum foil. Freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw wrapped bread overnight in the refrigerator or at room temperature, then warm to your liking.
