  • 1⁄2 cup butter, softened
  • 3⁄4 cup sugar
  • 2⁄3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1 1⁄4 cups chunky peanut butter
  • 1 1⁄2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
  • 5 (2 1/8 ounce) butterfinger candy bars, chopped

  • Preheat oven to 350°F degrees.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars.
  • Add egg whites; beat well.
  • Blend in peanut butter and vanilla.
  • Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  • Stir in candy bars.
  • Shape into 1 1/2-inch balls and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes, or until cookies just start to turn brown.
  • Do not over bake!
  • Let sit on cookie sheet for a few minutes, before transfering to a wire rack.
  • Cool completely.

  2. Fantastic cookies! I made these for a bake sale and there were NONE left. I had to make them again for my father-in-law just because he loves Butterfingers. I didn't necessarily change anything, but I kept the butterfingers in pretty big chunks. Loved them!

  5. These cookies are very rich, very decadent and on the sweet side. I reduced the white sugar to 1/4 cup and they are still really sweet. But if you like peanut butter, you will love these. Mine require for me to bake them for 14 minutes. Thanks for posting the recipe.

  2. This recipe was amazing! when I was making it I actually found that I didn't have any butterfingers, oh-no, the main ingredient. I had an idea of substituting the butterfingers with pretzel sticks. It actually worked great, you should try it!

I spend most of my free time in the kitchen, either checking out Recipezaar or experimenting with a newly found recipe. <br /><br />My DH and I are both from Texas and we both come from Italian families. Anyone who stops by my house should be prepared to eat!!! I'm always forcing friends and family to try whatever it is that just came out of the oven. I know that is a horrible habit but I can't break it... I think it must be the Italian in me! LOL :) <br /><br />My sister (<a href=http://www.recipezaar.com/browse/getchef.zsp?id=85654>Cookin_Kit</a>) and I used to help my Mom (<a href=http://www.recipezaar.com/browse/getchef.zsp?id=124343>JudaThann</a>) in the kitchen a lot growing up. I guess that is where my love for cooking began. I also enjoy sharing the kitchen with my DH (<a href=http://www.recipezaar.com/browse/getchef.zsp?id=202688>Sgt. Pepper</a>). He doesn't cook as often as he did when we first got married, but he makes an awesome pizza and still makes them at least twice a month. He keeps his recipes for the dough and the sauce top secret, even from me. LOL <br /><br />I have two step-children. The oldest graduated from college and the youngest is a sophom*ore at Texas Tech. I also have two cats and a dog.
