Joe Andreessen makes initial roster

Per source, Joe Andreessen has been informed that he made the team’s initial 53-man roster.

Kameron Cline released

Per source, DE Kameron Cline has been released. He could be added to the team’s practice squad.

Bills trade for Brandon Codrington

Buffalo made a rare in-division trade with the Jets for Brandon Codrington. Codrington was one of the NFL’s best return men this summer.

Richard Gouraige waived

Per source, the Bills are waiving OL Richard Gouraige. The source adds that Gouraige will join the Bills’ practice squad if he clears waivers. Gouraige has the ability to play at both tackle and guard.

Frank Gore Jr. waived

The preseason rushing yards leader is also being waived, per Tom Pelissero. It was simply a numbers game for Gore Jr. as he was behind James Cook, Ray Davis and Ty Johnson on the depth chart.

Kingsley Jonathan and Keni-H Lovely waived

The Bills are waiving DE Kingsley Jonathan and CB Keni-H Lovely, per Alaina Getzenberg.

KJ Hamler waived

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the Bills have waived K.J. Hamler. It’s possible that the Bills are going with just five receivers on their initial rosters.

Tylan Grable expected to make 53-man roster

Grable, a 2024 day three draft pick, is expected to make the 53-man roster, per Alaina Getzenberg. Grable performed well throughout training camp and the preseason.

Gable Steveson waived

No surprise on this move. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that the defensive tackle was waived. Buffalo signed Steveson despite him having no football background. It’s unknown if he will join Buffalo’s practice squad.

Kendall Williamson waived

Joe Buscaglia reports that the Bills are releasing S Kendall Williamson.

Andy Isabella released

Veteran wide receiver Andy Isabella has been released, per source.

Ja’Marcus Ingram expected to make 53-man roster

Ja’Marcus Ingram is expected to make the 53-man roster, per The Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia. The move was expected based on Ingram’s strong summer.

Branson Deen waived

Per source, the Bills have waived DT Branson Deen. Deen joined the roster as un UDFA this spring.

Eli Ankou released

Sal Capaccio of WGR-550 reports that Ankou is being released by the team. He adds that the defensive tackle will be under consideration for the practice squad.

Gunner Britton waived

Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN reports that UDFA OL Gunner Britton has been waived by the team.

Justin Shorter waived

The Bills are waiving Justin Shorter, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Buffalo drafted Shorter in the 5th round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

OL Mike Edwards waived

Bills UDFA OL Mike Edwards was waived by the Bills, per source. The source adds that Buffalo would like to add Edwards to their practice squad if he clears waivers.

Xavier Johnson waived

The former Ohio State WR was waived by the Bills, per source. Johnson joined the team as an UDFA this summer.

Kareem Jackson released

Per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Bills are releasing veteran safety Kareem Jackson.

Tyrell Shavers waived

Per source, the Bills are waiving WR Tyrell Shavers. Shavers had an excellent summer for the Bills and seemed to be in play for a spot on the 53-man roster. Buffalo will add Shavers to the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Ben DiNucci released

The Bills have released Ben DiNucci, per Adam Schefter. DiNucci could potentially be added to the practice squad.

Bills make first series of moves on Sunday

Headlined by linebacker Deion Jones, Buffalo released seven players on Sunday and added two safeties to the injured reserve.
